Privacy and correspondence

This notice explains the site's own data handling and what happens when you choose to contact us.

Effective date: 1 January 2026.

Who is responsible

Clever Comet Reel Ltd is the operator of clevercometreel.live and the controller of personal information received through its editorial correspondence. Registered office: 9 Charlotte Street, Manchester M1 4ET, United Kingdom. Company registration number: 14692758. For privacy requests, email [email protected].

Browsing the website

This is an informational website. Its supplied page scripts do not include advertising trackers, behavioural analytics, user accounts or a server-side contact submission service. As with ordinary web hosting, the hosting infrastructure may process IP addresses, requested URLs, timestamps and browser information to deliver pages, maintain security and investigate technical problems.

Where access information is processed for security and reliable operation, the relevant basis is our legitimate interest in providing and protecting the website. We do not use the contact text tool to build visitor profiles.

The contact text tool

Text entered in the contact tool is processed in the current browser page. Preparing a proof does not send it to us. Copying uses your device's clipboard with browser permission; downloading creates a local plain-text file. The page script does not store the draft in cookies or localStorage. Browser autofill, clipboard history, downloaded files and device backups are controlled by your browser or operating system.

If you independently send the prepared note by email, we receive the information in that email, such as your address, message and any signature. Do not send body scans, sensitive measurements, confidential client files or other people's personal information without an appropriate basis.

Email correspondence

We use correspondence to answer enquiries, consider corrections and maintain relevant editorial records. Our usual basis is legitimate interests in handling communications; where a request concerns a possible contract, steps taken at your request before a contract may also apply. Information may be processed by hosting and email providers acting on our behalf and disclosed where legally required.

We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, relevant follow-up, record keeping or legal obligations. Routine enquiries are reviewed for deletion within 12 months after closure unless there is a continuing reason to retain them. Any longer retention should be limited to that reason.

Sharing and international processing

We do not sell correspondence or contact-tool content. Service providers may process information in countries outside the United Kingdom. Where restricted transfers occur, applicable safeguards, such as adequacy arrangements or approved contractual protections, are required. Contact us for information relevant to a particular privacy enquiry.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, and may object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting prior lawful processing. We may need proportionate information to verify a request.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Please also contact us if you would like us to address a concern directly.
