Our point of view
Generative systems can make visual exploration faster. That is useful, but it does not remove the distance between a proposed silhouette and a garment someone can make and wear. We organise our guidance around that distance: design inputs, editable patterns, construction review, fit validation and production communication.
Our intended readers are clothing designers, pattern cutters, technical designers, educators and small development teams. The writing assumes an interest in garment construction without assuming that every reader uses the same CAD environment or has access to an industrial sample room.
How we frame a claim
We distinguish a tool capability from a result demonstrated on a particular garment. A system may support pattern export without preserving every convention your factory needs. A virtual fit feature may reveal strain without proving wearer comfort. Whenever possible, we identify the next check rather than leaving a claim at the level of a product description.
We refer to genuine tools, research projects and technical standards to give readers concrete starting points. Mention does not imply endorsement, affiliation, certification or a claim that we have independently tested every version. Software features, licences and standards can change; consult the original documentation for current requirements.
What this site does not provide
We do not operate a pattern-generation service, accept garment files for automated processing or certify production patterns. The articles are general educational information, not a substitute for professional pattern review, product testing or legal advice. Responsibility for a released garment stays with the people and organisations developing it.
Corrections and useful questions
If a description is unclear or a technical reference needs correction, tell us which page and passage you mean. A specific example is more useful than a broad claim that a technology works or fails. Please do not send confidential patterns, body scans or client material without prior agreement.
